The Bible labeled Nimrod as “The mightiest of men. - A mighty hunter before the Lord” in Genesis10:9-10. The name Nimrod used to be used to describe someone as a good hunter, but the use of the word has shifted over the years. It is most commonly believed that the meaning shifted from a mighty hunter to a synonym for idiot, jerk or moron after the use of the name in the Looney Tunes cartoons. Bugs Bunny would insult Elmer Fudd by sarcastically calling him Nimrod. A play on the meaning of the name from a mighty hunter to the unsuccessful, and often incompetent attempts of Elmer Fudd’s hunting.
We at Musacchia Broadheads LLC™ intend to restore Nimrod to his former glory. In bow hunting we should all aspire to be Nimrod, a mighty hunter before the Lord.
